What Herb is Good For Blood Circulation?

by J. S.
(Brooklyn, NY)

I've been having chest pains (near or IN my heart - not sure which) lately and pains in my arms and legs. It feels as if my veins are clogged (or arteries)? I'm not sure if blood is circulating all the way through my body. I get sharp pains in my hands and arms, and lately, around the front of my legs (shins) and around my ankles. At night, if I lay on one side too long, the arm I'm laying on gets tingly and numb as if the blood circulation was cut off for an hour or so. I'm wondering if there is a problem w/ my blood circulation. Is there an herb I can take for this?

A little of my medical history: The only meat I've been eating is chicken, about once a week. I don't eat a lot of fatty foods, I don't have caffeine. But I had hyperthyroidism for almost 10 years.

I agree with Erin, you need first to see a medical doctor to rule out anything ominous. Herbs definitely should be used more in society but alopathic doctors should not be forgotten. Herbs for circulation work in various ways, the more common ones I use with my clients would be hawthorn, motherwort (Leonorus cardiaca) rosemary and casicum. Use the rosemary as a tea and drink 3-5 times a day, you can also take a pinch of capsicum or chili powder in a bit of water as well but one of my favorites is cinnamon and honey, 30g cinnamon in 200ml honey, mix well and add a teaspoon to hot water every evening. Good luck with it but as I said, speak to a medical doctor as well.

Hawthorn

First and foremost, it sounds like you should seek professional advice, either from a naturopathic or medical doctor. All of our body's systems are important, but the circulatory system is a pretty big deal... if there's something going on, you probably want to know about it. Knowing more precisely what the issue is will also help you to deal with it appropriately.

In general, hawthorn is my favorite tonic for the circulatory system. You can find the berries or flowers and leaves loose, and prepare them as a tea. I'm pretty sure that hawthorn is safe to use often and for a prolonged period of time, but please double check me on that one, as I don't remember for sure off the top of my head.

Good luck figuring out what's going on!

I have a simple suggestion for you. You can use Circu-Boost tablets to improve blood circulation. Circu-Boost contains active ingredients such as, niacin, niacinamide, magnesium and potassium that support enzyme activity. This blood circulation booster also contains Licorice Root, Vitamin E, Buckthorn Root, and 2.5 mg of Co-Enzyme Q10. Get great discount on Circu-Boost tablets at Ripple Creek. You can find this in most medical shops and I have bought it from http://ripplecreek.com

I have read that the spice cinnamon is very benfeicial for circulation issues, when used over a period of time. Do a search reference on the spice to the health benefits. This spice is proven to lower cholesterol, which we all know lines and clogs our arteries. That could lead to circulation issues. I would recommend consulting your doctor. Most doctors will be understanding if you prefer the natural route and they will help you find a solution.

Hope the info helped :-)
