My Baby Has a Cold!

by Mommy Wiles
(Canada)

My little guy Hudson has a pretty bad cold. I stumbled upon oil of oregano and impulsed bought at a health food store while looking at SALBA. I was wondering if anyone knew how to direct me to some information or give me some info on how to administer oil of oregano to an 8 month old. Not only to help eradicate and relieve, but for preventative medicine for the future.

Thanks!

I Use Oregano for My Son
by: MommaRox

I use oregano to cure my son's cold or cough. I have an oregano plant in our garden. What I do is boil it and serve it to my 4 year old son, mix it with milk or juice he loves it.

Edhawa Amazing Oil from Philippines
by: Anonymous

Cures 18 kinds of illnesses, one of my friend child was diagnose of having dengue virus from mosquito bites and has high fever, colds and cough, I apply edhawa amaazing oil to the whole body of the baby, legs arms, chest back massage the oil to the head. The baby cannot drink milk and look very weak no doctor available because of Christmas time. After 20 minutes of applying the oil the baby begin to emit the mucus and can cry loud then begin to ask for milk and the next day the baby is happy playing and drinking milk and eating foods. This is a true story not invention only. you can see my posting at sulit.com.ph. rollsroyce.sulit.com.ph

Not Oregano Oil
by: Anonymous

What strength did you buy? Oregano Oil is very hot/warming. Have you tasted it yourself? It may also burn his stomach. I would NOT give it to an 8 mo old baby. You can use cool mist vaporizers or warm air humidifiers. Check the baby care aisle of your stores and ask your pharmacists for medications to put in vaporizers. Also look for nasal saline mists to help de-congest. At 8 mos of age you do not know if your son has allergies or how he will react to medicines or even sometimes foods. Be careful and go slow. Many cold remedies also contain caffeine which of course is BAD for babies and children. Get him to drink warm liquids (thins the mucus). You can add extra water to his formula so he gets more liquids but will still be hungry. Be aware that dairy and sugar may create more mucus.
