More Good Days Than Bad But...

Since being diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation in 2005 I have gone from one drug to another hoping for one that will regulate my heart rhythm. The side effects from the drugs have been scary at times & none of the drugs have worked to control my wayward heart rhythm & restore my quality of life. Except for spells of irregular heart beats that usually last for several hours I'm a healthy woman with a healthy heart. Is Hawthorn the answer?

Hawthorn
by: Anonymous

I have painful PVC's and I did some research on it. I saw that Hawthorne was recommended in several online resources for all arhythmias, but they didn't say if there were any side-effects or dangers.

I'm hesitant to try it because PVCs aren't dangerous, and what if Hawthorne is? What if it's like Pennyroyal, used for centuries to cure various diseases, then recently discovered to give people cancer and heart attacks?

You may want to find a homeopathist in your area and discuss that with him.

Omega 3, Exercise and Omega 6
by: Anonymous

Have you tried fish oil and exercise?.

Omega 3 is well known for its qualities for regulating the heart in all ways, from sudden death, HDL cholesterol and inflammation.

Everyday exercise has a calming effect in your body (besides lower inflammation, too) that may contribute to your general well being.

Omega 6, all carbohydrates coming from grains, like breads, pasta, rice, maize, etc have; they act as inflammation agents.

Give it a try for 2 or 3 weeks and see how you react. Nothing of these is going to kill you.

Good Luck,
