Lavender Lemonade

Lavender Lemonade Image Lavender Lemonade

Make use of your fresh or dried lavender flowers in this refreshing and relaxing twist on an old - time favorite! My daughters make this recipe to use in their lemonade stands during the summer, or to serve at garden parties. It's a big crowd pleaser!

Ingredients:

1 Gallon Water

1/2 Cup Honey (more, if you like it sweeter)

10 Lavender Sprigs (stems and buds), Plus Additional for Garnish

2 Cups Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice (You will need 10 - 12 lemons)

1/2 Cup Fresh Lime Juice (from about 5 limes)

In a large pot, warm the water and honey together until the honey is completely dissolved. No need to boil.

Remove from heat and add the lavender sprigs and your lemon and lime juices.

Cover the pot and let it all steep together while it cools to room temperature.

Strain and put in refrigerator to chill.

Garnish with lavender stems and serve over ice.

Cheers!
