Many of the plants used to treat common complaints and minor medical conditions are easily grown in the garden and choosing those that work to correct more than one body system provides flexibility and more alternative treatments than growing one plant for each system. Minor injuries cause discomfort and planting a Willow tree in your yard may provide aspirin year round for those who are not allergic to aspirin. Valerian and Skullcap are often commonly used to treat nervous conditions but their value as mild pain relieving plants is also well known.
