Making Your Own Herbal Remedy

Making your own herbal remedy is an art that can be easily learned at home with some basic knowledge and practice.

~BASICS~

Most dried herbs achieve the highest potency in a water base. In this case an infusion or tea is called for.

When making tinctures in glycerin or alcohol bases it is generally best to use fresh plant matter. However, dried roots and barks can also be used to make tinctures.

When picking fresh herbs, try to pick them at their peak and after the morning dew has dried.
