Herbal Infusion for Pain Relief

A friend of mine gave me a bottle of rubbing alcohol, infused with some sort of plant or flower that grows in southern California. She won't tell me what it is and leaves no evidence of what she uses to infuse it with. It's very fragrant and pungent smelling of flowers I think. It is a dark green color. I would love to know what it is since it works quite well, please help if you can.
