Prickly Ash xazthoxylum americanum (Citrus Family)

This herb is an old Native American remedy for toothaches.

It stimulates blood flow to painful and stiff joints, promoting the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the area and removing waste products and is sometimes used for arthritic conditions.

It also relaxes the upper digestive tract and is useful in treating colic, cramping, vomiting, gallstones, and parasitic infections.

The red fruits are used medicinally in teas.
