Herbal Remedies ~ Fenugreek
Fenugreek Trigonella foenum-graecum
The seeds of this herb are a potent antioxidant, beneficial for liver and pancreas. A tea made from a teaspoon of the crushed seeds is used to encourage lactation and relieve symptoms of masititis. Externally, the seeds may be applied as a paste to treat abscesses, boils, ulcers, and burns, or used as a douche for excessive vaginal discharge. They are also used to freshen bad breath and help restore a dulled sense of taste. CAUTIONS: Fenugreek can alter thyroid hormone balance. Avoid if you are taking thyroid hormones.
