Herbs for Burns

Remedies for Burns

Burns are graded by degree from first degree to 3rd degree - 1st being the least serious.

1st Degree: Skin is red but unbroken

2nd Degree: Blisters are present.

3rd Degree: Entire thickness of skin is involved and nerve endings have been damaged. (Always seek medical help in this case.)

Self-care is most appropriate for first-degree and some small second-degree burns. To treat, immerse the burned area in cool water for about 15 minutes (be careful not to-break any blisters) or apply cool compresses.
